Enjoy a night of music while raising funds to provide critical care to our uninsured and underserved community. The Seager Memorial Clinic is hosting its sixth annual Charity Recital in the Browning Center at Weber State University on Friday, Oct. 23.
The clinic was founded in 1988 after Dr. Floyd Seager witnessed a man collapse on the street in Ogden. Learning the man was unhoused and lacked medical access, Dr. Seager partnered with the Ogden Rescue Mission to provide free medical, dental, vision, mental health, and pharmacy services to those in need.
Last year, after operating for decades in the small basement of the Ogden Rescue Mission, the clinic relocated to a much larger facility on 24th Street.
This year’s recital will feature pianist Deondra Brown Nielsen (of The 5 Browns), guitarist/vocalist Jacob Pletcher, and the Weber State University Jazz Quartet, featuring Kirk Kirksey, Edward Morales, David Bishop, and Sam Morris.
Guests will also enjoy a silent auction and delicious desserts, with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting the Seager Memorial Clinic.
The event is sponsored by Dr. Rosemary Lesser, Wealth Enhancement Group, Michel Foundation, America First Credit Union, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of Utah, Tanner Clinic, Weber State University Dumke College of Health Professions, Zions Bank, Intermountain Health, True Vision Physicians and Surgeons, Butter My Bread, and the Elliott-Hall Company.
