Travelers and locals will soon have a new reason to visit Ogden-Hinckley Airport, as a popular downtown brewery opens its second location out where the Breeze jets soar.

When Ogden City issued an RFP for a restaurant at the newly renovated airport, UTOG owner and Delta Air Lines pilot Carson Foss saw the perfect opportunity to combine aviation and brewing.

“I thought, ‘I can do two passions at once?’” Foss said. Now, there will be a mash of the two – literally. Aviator-themed beers will be part of the drinks menu that will include four drafts, canned brews, and a full liquor bar.

The pub will mark the first time alcoholic beverages have been available inside the terminal at Ogden-Hinckley Airport.

The kid-friendly brewery and pub features seating along large windows and a spacious outdoor patio offering front-row seats to the runway action and flow of travelers arriving and departing.

“You can watch the aircraft and hang out,” said Foss. The public brewery will focus on breakfast and lunch crowds, and a “cool place to come after work to have a beer and some appetizers.”

According to an Ogden City press release, UTOG was selected for its local ownership and deep community connections. The release noted that since opening in Ogden's historic Thorstensen Building in 2019, UTOG has become a popular local destination known for creating a welcoming atmosphere and celebrating Ogden's character.

UTOG’s Full Stop Diner & Pub is part of a $5 million terminal expansion project; completed earlier this year were a new baggage claim area and commercial air service through Breeze Airways with nonstop flights to Orange County, California.

"Every improvement we make at Ogden-Hinckley Airport is about creating an experience people want to return to," Airport Director Brian Condie stated in the release. "Full Stop Diner and Pub adds another important amenity while reflecting the airport's unique aviation culture and Ogden's commitment to supporting local businesses."

Full Stop will be located outside the secure screening area.

Foss expects to open Full Stop in October, just in time for patrons to enjoy the new seasonal Pushy Pumpkin pale ale on the patio this fall.
