Ogden, Utah—A bustling Ogden downtown brewery and restaurant released its latest hoppin’ creation on Thursday, April 14—the Love Punch beer.

UTOG Brewing employee Christian Scheller went to the brewery owner about doing a pride beer to benefit Project Rainbow, an organization, he says in a FB post, that is “very dear to me…and today it is a physical, drinkable thing!”

He describes Love Punch: “a super delicious, tropical Hefeweizen designed to support Project Rainbow and Utah’s queer communities. My husband Nathan and I got the privilege to help brew and package the first batch every step of the way.”

He offered thanks to Brett Walker, the brewer, for the “perfect flavor,” and to Jazmin and Chase for designing “a super kick ass can!!”

And added, “Huge thanks to Carson for believing in my vision and letting me run with it!”

Love Punch is available now through October in The UTOG Beer Store, Salt & Hops, and will soon be in over 40 restaurants and bars in Northern Utah.
