If you’re a lucky ticket holder, read on to see what awaits for you. If not, be inspired to clear your calendar and grab tix early next year. We’ve also got the background on the hero of hops, Ogden Beer Fest producer and founder Chase Burch who picked up the reigns after Odgen Downtown Alliance ceased operations of its Spring Beer Fest last year.

Ogden, UT — Ogden is still thirsty! The debut Ogden Beer Fest at The Monarch sold out days before the event on Saturday, April 20.

Ogden Beer Fest celebrates the craft and culture of beer with exceptional brews, live entertainment, and community camaraderie in the heart of Ogden at The Monarch. General admission includes a commemorative sample cup, 4 sample pours, a $6 Food Voucher, and event access. Additional sample pours will be available for purchase.

In a brilliant move, awards have been added to the event.

Ogden Beer Fest Awards will consist of a panel of judges who will sample submitted beers from each brewery. Attendees also get to cast their votes. There will be a winner in the following categories:

  • Best Hoppy

  • Best Lager

  • Best Experimental

  • Best Overall

  • People's choice

Chase Burch has spent countless hours engaging with the community and participating in local events in the 15 years he’s lived in Ogden. He’s been Marketing Director at Lucky Slice for eight years, and is founder/producer of local and national events including Interlude Snowboard Show, Shred Fest (SLC), Turn n' Burn at Powder Mountain, and events for Anheiser Busch.

“We wanted to keep the momentum going here in Ogden and keep building the community and culture surrounding craft beer! With the combined efforts of myself, Nick VanArsdell (Lucky Slice Co-owner) and The Monarch (Brandy Shay), we're proud to be continuing this event and building it for years to come,” says Burch.

Festival attendees will sample an array of styles and flavors from a diverse selection of craft beers from local and regional breweries (listed below).

There will be food provided by Lucky Slice Pizza, live music from local artists, and activities for all ages.

"This event is not only a fantastic opportunity to highlight the incredible craft beer scene here in Ogden, but also to foster a sense of community and appreciation for this beloved beverage,” stated Burch in a press release.
