NEW MUSIC SERIES! The Ogdenite presents ‘Femme As Folk,’ a month-long, multi-genre music series featuring women, transgender, and nonbinary musicians. It’s also an awareness campaign promoting full gender equality in the music industry: Book More Womxn!
Fridays and Saturdays in March at Lighthouse Lounge in Ogden. Tickets are $10, cash or card at the door. Shows start at 8 PM (doors at 7). ALL PROCEEDS go to the Artists and Rock Camp SLC. Venue is ages 21+.
This a DREAM lineup, stacked with artists we love: Doomcupcake, Floatinground, Talia Keys & The Love, Pepper Rose, Spirit Machines, Somebody/Anybody, She Cock With A Vengeance, Carrie Myers & The Proper Way, OrcaMind, DJ Suzy, Che Zuro, Fur Foxen, The Backyard Revival, Ginger & The Gents, Salduro, Standards And Substandards, and Korene Greenwood.
Proceeds go directly into the artists’ pockets to further support their music.
We are also raising money to support Rock Camp SLC. They are directly opening doors for girls, transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth. The impact of their 5-day rock camps every summer is immeasurable: campers, ages 8-17, get hands-on experience forming a band, learning an instrument, and performing at the big concert all with the guidance of community leaders in the music industry.
Rock Camp SLC offers a sliding-scale tuition. Donations help send kids to camp who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend. Your support is helping to change the world “one little rocker at time!”
